Pastor Jamie MacGregor
Pastor Jamie MacGregor and his wife, Debbie, long have sensed God’s call to start new churches. Jamie first sensed God’s call to ministry when studying the Book of Acts in the fall of 1987. Upon reading Paul’s statement, “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace” (Acts 20:24), Jamie wanted to pioneer new church works.
Initially, Jamie and Debbie pursued this call by preparing for church planting work in the foreign mission field. With the birth of their second daughter, who is a child with profound special needs, the call to the foreign mission field was put on hold. Jamie and Debbie were not deterred in their call to start new churches, though. Through the grace of God, they were used to help plant La Plata Community Church!
Jamie and Debbie have five children. One of their favorite family activities is hiking at the local parks. Jamie is a graduate of, University of Miami (BS), University of Maryland (MS), and Covenant Theological Seminary (MDiv). Debbie received her BS from the Univ. of Missouri.
